camp

Have you ever went to camp bentzon on a island befor? The island is called kakwau. Well I have’ it talk like about 2 hours to get there and on the ferry it talk about 1 hours.

On the first day we went for a hike up to killer hill it talk like about 3 and a half hours.we had a break at a rock cairn. A cairn is like a rock tower. like when you go there you put a rock on the top.Then we was done with the hike we calld have free time when we got back.

The next day we got to do our activities.we got 3 done in each day I was in mansion b.we was had name for our group.our first activities kayaking and some more water activities and our last one was our  last  l abseiling.

I work up early because hosea was doing fats and the whole room was simed.when I was seeping Hosea sole some chocolate out of my

and then I had 5 lafe and I gave them a way.

 

My favourite bit about camp was when we got free time to do anything outside. when it was dinner time we got nice food to eat.this was my bit of the camp I like.

I did not like sailing in the water because I keep falling.I fall about 4 time

in the water.Then we all went back to school.

guess what I did in the holiday? I am going to tell you about my whole holiday. First I will be telling you about my first week.

On the first week I was at home watching movie. when the movie was fisher I went to play outside with my brothers and my cosin.The game they was playing is hard ball we play two on two I was no good.

Then the next week I was at my aunty house we was having a BBQ. All my aunts and cousins was at the BBQ. We ate outside all of my cousin was eating fast . When everyone was fisher we had some ice camy it was yumm.

Walt: I am thinking about my purpose and reader by planning my recount.

Guess what? We made worms in our class. But it was noodles, but we called it worms. I do not like worms because  they are disgusting.

When it was done we got to have a look at what it looked like. It looked like it was sloppy and soggy. When I first looked at it, it looked like water snakes                  

How we made it was so easy. We needed hot water and noodles.Then we had to put the worms in a bowl. Then you had to put the sachet in to make it flavoured.After that we had to pour the hot water in.

I think about noodles or worms.I think it is disgusting.

Today we made butter in our class.Do you know how to make butter? We had to get into a circle so we can have a turn to shake it.

I am going to tell you what you need you need to make butter. You need cream and you need to get something to pour the cream in like a jar, and you need salt. To make it you need to pour the cream into something and then you add a little salt then you shake it.  

When we tasted it was nice it was creamer. It was like a butter we can sell and make all of the time. But the butter was very nice.

we are leaning about whau trees. Here is some fact about whau trees there are 4 fact about it.

grass to glass- part 1

Cows eat 70 kilograms of grass a day,that be twice heavy as me. When it is winter the farmers make silage because the grass in winter does’t grow. That a lot of food.

Cows have four stomachs,and the stomachs breaks down the grass in the first two stomachs.Then they burped out and they eat for one min.

Milking happens twice a day, once  early  in the morning and once late in the afternoon.They can never be missed out or the cows will get infections.They get milk in a rotary and they make 30 liter.

Now days milking machines do all the hard work,but in the olden days they milk buy hand.In our days we have machines to milk the cow.In the milking shed it take 7 to 8 min.

living on a farm

Growing up on a farm on the country may be fun but it can be hard work.We have been look at some dairy milk farm on new zealand.

 On a farm my job will be feed the pigs I be giving them milk to the piglets. I will get the milk from the cows when they are done milking.

 My other job will be feeding the chicken and collect the egg.I make sure no cat get in there pen of the chicken will die.I be giving them haps of chicken food.

 It has been interesting to learn about what it would be like to live on a dairy farm, all the jobs you get to help with and animals you care for. But living there full time? No thank you. I think I’ll stick to the city.
